Top 10 Global Best Performance Android Phones ranked by Antutu

Antutu revealed their list of the Global top 10 best performance smartphones for August 2018. Wondering what the best Android phones on the market are right now?

Check out the top 10 list as measured by the average Antutu score.

Mi Black Shark Gaming Phone

The Mi Black Shark gaming phone remained on top once again with an average Antutu score of 289,415 in August,. The device leads the pack with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a liquid cooling system that helps it avoid overheating and perform better than other smartphones with similar specs.

Vivo NEX S

Coming in second with an average Antutu score of 288,076 is the Vivo NEX S. Although this device shares the same Snapdragon 845 processor and 8GB of RAM with Mi Black Shark, its cooling design is not as powerful as Mi Black Shark, therefore it doesn’t perform as well as the latter.

OPPO Find X

The third spot is taken by OPPO Find X which gets an average Antutu score of 286293. Since this device is also running on Snapdragon 845 processor with 8GB of RAM, its performance is only marginally lower than Mi Black Shark and vivo NEX S.

The rest of the list are as follows: the Snapdragon 845-powered Galaxy Note 9, Xiaomi Mi 8, Asus ZenFone 5Z, Xiaomi Mi POCOPHONE F1, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s, the Snapdragon 845-powered Galaxy S9+ and Snapdragon 845-powered Galaxy S9.

In general, August’s top ten rankings are dominated by smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor once again. This situation is not likely to change in the coming two months until  the Huawei Mate 20 series powered by Kirin 980 processor is released on October 16.

The above data reflects the changes of Android phone performance for August, 2018.

Below were the Statistical rules used:

  1. Score: all the scores are averaged, not highest score per model (actual running results may fluctuate, which is a normal phenomenon).
  2. Period of data collection: August 1, 2018 to August 31, 2018.
  3. Data amount: at least 1000 units.
  4. Data source: Antutu Benchmark V7
